Lazy Saturday Morning

My youngest son is here for the weekend. Hubby went to a men's breakfast so we just had a relaxed, slow-paced morning. I made the kids breakfast of sausages, eggs and toast, oj, coffee and tea. I had a yummy breakfast of yogurt, apple, a little stevia to sweeten and apple pie spice along with a few filberts.

This afternoon we are going to a friend's 50th wedding anniversary party. This should be a fun event.

Dinner will be No Peek Stew (in the crockpot). In the crockpot you put 2 lb. of lean stew meat, then spread over the top a mixture of one can of cream of mushroom soup & dry onion soup mix. Cook on HIGH for 4 hours. Shortly before the stew is ready you put in a large pot 2-1/2 cups water and bring to boil, Add 3 cups frozen green beans, 3 cups frozen carrots and 6 oz. uncooked noodles. Cook about 15 minutes until veggies & noodles are tender. This serves 8. You dish up 3/4 cup noodle mixture on a plate then top with 1/2 cup meat mixture. My guys will probably eat a double portion.

What does a lazy Saturday at your home look like?
